FREE Andrew Robson Bridge Lessons

Wednesday, 24 March 2021 by Mark Gibson

RealBridge have teamed up with Andrew Robson to offer a series of 4 bridge lessons, on the following topics:

  • Weak twos
  • Splinter bids
  • Fourth suit forcing
  • Counting and card placement

The format for the sessions will be:

  • Players play 4 rounds of 1 board each.
  • At the start of the session, RealBridge will display a welcome note on each table. This will be a very short introduction to the deals.
  • After the 4th board, RealBridge displays a link to a video.  This allows the players to watch Andrew Robson talk about the instructive points of one of the deals. Under the video is commentary by Andrew, in text, on all 4 boards
  • There will be no charge for the sessions

It is proposed to run these sessions at 5.15pm on 4 consecutive Tuesdays, starting next week, 30th March.

We need a minimum of 8 players for each session, and can only operate with full tables. It is therefore proposed to book players onto the sessions on a first come basis.  Once we have the 8 players needed to run the session subsequent applicants will be held on a wait list until the next set of 4 is complete. If you want to play with your regular partner please apply together.

If you'd like to take part in some or all of these sessions on Tuesdays please let me know which dates you want to join;  March 30th, April 6th, April 13th and April 20th. The topics will be in the order shown above.

If you'd like us to offer the sessions at a different time, please let us know and we'll do what we can to accommodate you, but we will still need 8 people available at the same time in order to do so.

I'm a great fan of Andrew Robson and am looking forward to these lessons, even though I subscribe to his daily videos, which have covered these topics already. He provides great insights into card play generally as well as the topics themselves. The format will be something a bit different, and should be very enjoyable as well as instructive.

I therefore urge everyone to give the sessions a try, and look forward to hearing from you.
